Wesley Alston, portfolio: bio
Hi, I'm Wesley, and in this portfolio, you can view my graphic design work which includes some school projects, some freelance projects and some projects of my own.
To give you a backstory of me, I was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. After getting into footwear design at the age of 14, I discovered many forms of design and discovered that through my love of color and visual communication, graphic design was for me as well.
After many years of school, design camps and workshops I now have an A.A. degree from Guilford Technical Community College in graphic design and I am currently attending North Carolina A&T pursuing a B.A. in graphic design. I was also one of a select number of students to be accepted to the "New Balance Designing with Sole" design essentials course held in 2021 by Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design.
Art and design have become extremely instrumental in my daily lifestyle.
Along with this, I also have a mental health story and I am an advocate for this subject as well. This is one of a few things that I would like to highlight on my journey, in hopes of reaching even more communities outside of footwear, design, and sports.
There are many things that I am passionate about. In the end, I want the world to know that I put my heart into making an impact on each of these things. This is why I design and this is the difference that I want to make.
